Madhya Pradesh SpaceTech Policy 2026: A Leap into the Cosmos

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has launched the Madhya Pradesh SpaceTech Policy-2026, a bold blueprint to establish the state as a leading hub in India’s rapidly expanding space economy. By fostering innovation, manufacturing, and high-skill jobs, this policy harnesses the state’s industrial base, defense corridor, and academic strengths to propel Madhya Pradesh into the forefront of space technology.

Comprehensive Ecosystem Vision

The policy spans upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, covering satellite and launch vehicle components, propulsion systems, avionics, advanced materials, assembly testing facilities, mission operations, ground stations, space situational awareness, and AI driven data analytics. Modern manufacturing hubs, testing infrastructure, and youth training programs will create thousands of specialized jobs. Ujjain’s astronomical legacy will anchor a new research center, blending heritage with cutting edge astrophysics.

Startup and Industry Incentives

Startups gain up to 75 lakh Rupees for idea to prototype development, 1 crore Rupees for technology acquisition, and access to a 200 crore Rupees strategic fund, plus 50% patent reimbursements and 75% certification support (up to 10 lakh Rupees) for ISRO, IN-SPACe, and ISO standards. Industries receive 40% capital subsidies (maximum 150 crore Rupees), with added benefits for women entrepreneurs, including clean rooms, high-performance computing centers, and up to 15 crore Rupees for testing facilities.

Empowering Youth and Infrastructure

Higher education institutions will introduce space tech courses with 20 lakh Rupees grants, six month internships at 10,000 Rupees monthly stipends, 50,000 Rupees skill upgrades per employee, and dedicated fellowships for researchers. ‘Antariksha Vihar’ exploration parks, ‘Mission Kalpana’ for school innovators, and ISRO’s Yuva Vigyan Kendra ties with 25,000 Rupees rewards will ignite scientific curiosity among students.

Seamless Execution Ahead

With MPMEDC as the nodal agency, single window clearances and online processes will streamline investments. This policy promises 1,000 crore Rupees in inflows over five years, redefining Madhya Pradesh as a space tech powerhouse and opening new horizons for its youth.
