Dehradun, July 10, 2026: The sixth edition of the Lok Samvardhan Parv will be held at Parade Ground, Dehradun, from July 11 to July 15, 2026, with Union Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju inaugurating the five-day festival on Saturday. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Minority Welfare Minister Khazan Das and senior officials from the Union and state governments will also be present.
This edition is significant because it is the first time the festival is being organised in collaboration with a state government. Uttarakhand has become the first state to partner with the Minority Affairs Ministry for this flagship event under the PM Vikas scheme, reflecting stronger Centre-state cooperation in preserving traditional art, craft and culinary heritage while promoting sustainable livelihoods.
Around 150 stalls will be set up at the festival, showcasing traditional handicrafts, handlooms and heritage crafts from across the country. Nearly 40 percent of the stalls will feature Uttarakhand’s own rich art and craft traditions, giving local artisans a major platform to display their skills and products.
Visitors will be able to watch live craft demonstrations by master artisans, take part in buyer-seller interactions and attend entrepreneurship and digital marketing sessions designed for artisans and entrepreneurs. Cultural evenings will feature performances based on Uttarakhand’s folk traditions along with presentations by well-known artists from across the country.
The Ministry has invited citizens, tourists, students, buyers, exporters and craft enthusiasts to visit the festival at Parade Ground, Dehradun, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm daily between July 11 and July 15, and experience India’s rich art, culture and culinary heritage.
