Ujjain Utsav: Cultural Capital Comes Alive

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav declared Ujjain the cultural capital of enthusiasm and joy, where festivals unfold ceaselessly, at the Rahgiri Anand Utsav 2026 launch on Kothi Road. Dedicating the event to farmers, Dr. Yadav honoured them with shawls amid police and armed forces salutes, bullock cart rides, conch blowing, and bhajans, with over 70 institutions welcoming him through stages and garlands.

Dr. Yadav lit the ceremonial lamp, interacted with thousands enjoying yoga, traditional games, and morning walks, and distributed prizes at farmer podiums. Announcing 2028 Simhastha as a global showcase of Indian heritage, he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s farmer advocacy, positioning state efforts as national bulwarks. District In-charge Minister Gautam Tetwal, MLAs Anil Jain Kaluheda and Satish Malviya, Mayor Mukesh Tetwal, and officials joined festivities marked by saffron flag waving, drum beats, wrestling displays, and 101 kg floral tributes from Press Club president Nandalal Yadav.

Amid BSF, CRPF, and MP Police salutes, helmet demonstrations promoted road safety, gifts delighted children, and agriculture stalls showcased tools alongside free millet laddoos and khichdi. Bullock carts evoked rural roots, bhagwa flags symbolised zeal, and cultural immersion bridged tradition with community vitality.
