Rani Kurre, a member of the Shikha Women’s Self Help Group from Rannei village in Korea district, has emerged as an inspiring figure for rural women. Through her determination and embrace of digital technology, she has set a new example of self reliance by starting a Customer Service Center under the Bihan scheme.
Overcoming Economic Challenges
Facing financial hardships, Rani secured a 50,000 Rupees loan for her group in 2024 to 2025 to launch the center. She now delivers essential services like Aadhaar, PAN cards, bill payments, and government schemes directly to villagers. Initially, building trust and awareness about digital services was tough, but her persistence turned the center into a vital village hub.
Remarkable Financial Growth
Her hard work now yields an annual income of about 1.5 lakh Rupees, with monthly earnings between 14,000 and 14,500 Rupees. This has significantly improved her family’s economic situation.
Inspiring Community Change
Rani not only achieved self reliance but also expanded digital access in her village, motivating other women toward self employment. She has earned respect and recognition in society, proving that digital tools can empower rural lives.
