Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav asserts that true development hinges on uplifting daughters and sisters. Addressing a women’s empowerment conclave in Ashta, Sehore district, he transferred 1,836 crore Rupees to the accounts of 1.25 crore Laadli Behna beneficiaries via the 35th installment of the flagship scheme. Cumulatively, Madhya Pradesh has disbursed 55,000 crore Rupees, forging financial independence for millions. This aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s transformative push reserving 33% seats for women in Parliament and assemblies, with a special session from April 16.
The CM inaugurated development works worth 184 crore Rupees, including two state of the art Sandeepani Schools in Ashta (61 crore Rupees) and Jawar (39.45 crore Rupees). These campuses boast libraries, computer labs, rainwater harvesting, sewage treatment, sports fields, botanical gardens, and buses serving 100 villages for 3,800 students from KG to Class 12 across arts, science, commerce, and agriculture. Interacting with Class 11 to12 students like Mahak, Muskan, and Sapna who shifted from private schools, he urged career pursuits in medicine, engineering, business, and politics, emphasizing quality public education rivaling private institutions.
Further announcements signal momentum: new ITI in Ashta, girls’ hostels, college science faculty, barrages on Doodhi River and Guradiya Khurd, canal works, Geeta Bhawan, and urban beautification. Farmer welfare shines too 2026 as Kisan Kalyan Varsh, irrigation expanded by 10 lakh hectares in two years, wheat procurement at 2,625 Rupees/quintal plus 40 Rupees bonus, 24 hour village power, and connections at 5 Rupees. Over 12 lakh Lakhpati Didi’s and 65 lakh SHG women drive rural economies (Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana) aids weddings with 55,000 Rupees.
A 2 km roadshow amid floral tributes and homage to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar reflected public fervor. Laadli Behna aid hiked to 1,500 Rupees, with more increases promised.
