In this changing landscape, the Raipur–Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor stands out as a transformative project that has the potential to redefine the economic future of central and eastern India. More than just a highway project, the corridor represents the larger vision of a faster, self reliant, and economically integrated India.
For decades, infrastructure gaps have limited the growth potential of several mineral rich and industrially important regions, including Chhattisgarh. Despite abundant natural resources, industries often struggled with high transportation costs, delayed logistics, and weak access to ports. Improved roads and transport networks can connect tribal products, forest produce, handicrafts, and agricultural goods to larger markets.
