Following the review, the chief minister led a tree‑planting drive at the camp office to mark World Environment Day and urged sustained protection of saplings.

Public grievances and directives
At the outreach meeting, Dhami emphasized that resolving citizen’s problems is the government’s top priority and instructed district officers to expedite solutions. He told officials to maintain active follow‑up until complaints are fully addressed and stressed the importance of accessibility between the administration and local communities.

Environment Day action
After the public interaction, the chief minister planted saplings in the camp office precincts and appealed to residents to not only plant trees but also care for them until they mature. He specifically directed that fruit‑bearing species be prioritized to deliver both ecological and livelihood benefits to local households.

Targets and local participation
District Magistrate Nitin Singh Bhadoria announced an ambitious target to plant four lakh saplings across the district through a coordinated campaign. The event saw participation from district and municipal leaders including District Panchayat Chairperson Ajay Maurya, Municipal Chairperson Ramesh Chandra Joshi, former MLA Dr. Prem Singh Rana, state BJYM vice‑president Satish Bhatt, party general secretary Ramesh Joshi and other officials.

Also present were SDM Gaurav Pandey, Additional District Magistrate Kaustubh Mishra, Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Ganpati and numerous officers, elected representatives and local citizens who joined the planting drive and public meeting.

Why it matters
The combined outreach and environmental push aims to reinforce government responsiveness at the grassroots while promoting afforestation that can provide shade, fruit and long‑term ecological benefits. Prioritizing fruit trees links environmental goals with local food security and income generation.
