Dhami Says India Moving Fast Toward Viksit Bharat Under PM Modi’s Leadership

Dehradun, June 17, 2026: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said India is moving rapidly toward fulfilling the vision of Viksit Bharat under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the country’s progress is being driven by the guiding principles of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas,” which he described as the foundation of India’s transformation.

Dhami said the central government’s development model has created a new sense of confidence across the country and has accelerated change in both infrastructure and governance. He added that the momentum visible in key sectors reflects a larger national resolve to build a stronger, self reliant and inclusive India.

The chief minister said the current phase of development is not limited to physical infrastructure alone, but also includes social inclusion, public welfare and institutional reform. According to him, the idea of Viksit Bharat is becoming a reality because of coordinated efforts at the national and state levels.

He further noted that Uttarakhand is also advancing in step with this national vision, with the state continuing to benefit from central support in roads, rail, air connectivity, pilgrimage infrastructure and welfare schemes. Dhami said the hill state sees itself as an active partner in India’s development journey and is working to align its priorities with the broader national mission.

The chief minister’s remarks come amid continued emphasis on the Modi government’s development agenda, which the Uttarakhand administration has repeatedly highlighted as central to the state’s growth strategy. By linking Uttarakhand’s progress to the Viksit Bharat mission, Dhami reinforced the state government’s alignment with the Centre’s long term vision for 2047.
