The inauguration of the new Sandipani School in Narsinghpur, built at a cost of 42.52 crore Rupees, is a welcome investment in young people. The launch of 15 buses is equally important, helping students reach school and making access to education easier for families.
The state government says Sandipani schools combine modern facilities with the values of the traditional Gurukul system. Classrooms, libraries, laboratories, books, uniforms and transport can all contribute to a better learning environment. But infrastructure alone cannot guarantee quality education. Students also need committed teachers, regular instruction, safe and reliable transport, and support that helps every child learn.
The government’s responsibility must therefore continue beyond the inauguration ceremony. School facilities need to be maintained, buses must run consistently, and the quality of teaching must be monitored. Every student, whether from a town or a village, should have a fair opportunity to learn and progress. The real test of a school is not the size of its building, but what its students are able to achieve.
At the Narsinghpur event, the Chief Minister also transferred 213.41 crore Rupees in social security pensions to more than 35.56 lakh beneficiaries and announced development works for the district. These measures address important needs across society. Education, however, requires sustained investment over many years, because today’s students will shape tomorrow’s communities and economy.
The promise that no obstacle will hinder the progress of children and young people is a worthy one. Fulfilling it means turning announcements into dependable services and ensuring that every school offers a safe, supportive and effective place to learn. If the new Sandipani School is backed by strong teaching and continued care, it can become more than a landmark building: it can be a genuine foundation for the aspirations of Narsinghpur’s children.
