Haridwar, October 12, 2026: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the official logo, website and song for Haridwar Kumbh Mela 2027, presenting them as key platforms to share the event’s religious and cultural identity and provide information to pilgrims and visitors.
The launch took place at the Mela Control Building (CCR) in Haridwar. Dhami said the Kumbh reflects India’s ancient spiritual traditions, Sanatan culture and popular faith. The state government, he added, is committed to organising a grand, safe and well-managed Kumbh.
Logo Depicts Haridwar’s Sacred Landscape
The official logo brings together key symbols associated with Haridwar and the Kumbh. Its design features the Ganga, the Har Ki Pauri area, the Dhanush Bridge and the sunrise. It also includes a statue of Lord Shiva, sadhus and saints, the trident and damru, and the hills of Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi.
The Mela administration had invited logo entries from students and young people across Uttarakhand. From hundreds of submissions, a selection committee shortlisted 13 original designs and chose the entry by Madhu Sharma, a resident of Jagjitpur in Vikasnagar, Haridwar. The official logo was finalised on the basis of her design.
Website to Provide Official Information
The Kumbh’s official website is haridwarkumbh.uk.gov.in. It is intended to provide pilgrims, visitors and the public with authentic information about the event and make updates related to preparations and arrangements easier to access.
Song Captures the Anticipation
The official Kumbh song was another highlight of the launch. It opens with the line, “Sadhus and saints are filled with joy; the festival of Kumbh has arrived,” capturing the excitement of the approaching festival and the devotion of pilgrims.
Haridwar-based singer Raghav Raja wrote, composed and performed the song.
Cabinet ministers, Mela officials and senior district and police officers attended the event.
