Dehradun, July 2026: Uttarakhand’s ongoing ‘Jan Jan Ki Sarkar – Jan Jan Ke Dwar’ campaign has recorded strong public response, with participation in its second phase crossing 1.34 lakh people. Combined participation in the first and second phases has now gone beyond 6.5 lakh.
The campaign, launched on the directions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, is being run across the state to resolve public grievances quickly and deliver welfare schemes directly to people. Under the programme, citizens are receiving services such as social welfare pensions, Ayushman cards, medical equipment and agricultural tools free of cost, while grievances are being addressed at special camps held at the district, block and tehsil levels.
So far, 198 camps have been organised since the campaign began on July 4. Despite the monsoon season, 1,34,740 people have participated in the second phase. During these camps, 23,219 public grievances were received, of which 20,808 were resolved on the spot. In addition, 81,753 beneficiaries received assistance through various government schemes.
Dhami has repeatedly stressed that people should not have to visit government offices again and again for their problems. Instead, he has directed officials to reach the public directly and ensure timely redressal of grievances. Acting on this approach, the state had earlier launched a 45-day ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ campaign in December, under which 681 camps were held and 5,33,452 citizens participated directly. Around 33,000 grievances were resolved during that drive, which was also appreciated as a model of good governance.
The Chief Minister said the objective of the campaign is not only to dispose of complaints quickly, but also to bring government schemes to the doorstep of eligible people in a simple and accessible way. He said the government remains committed to public service through the principles of simplification, solution and public satisfaction.
