Modi elevated India’s profile at the G-7.

Jairam Ramesh, the Congress Party’s communications chief, is known for his cheap jibes that mirror the thinking of the party’s leaders. When Prime Minister Modi travelled for the G-7 Summit in Italy, some suggested he was there to’ salvage his weakened international image’. He praised former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, whom he described as the highlight of a previous G-7 gathering in Germany. Ramesh, despite his great education, chose to disregard the absurdity of comparing an unelected prime minister to Modi. A meek bureaucrat was always nominated to whatever political position he might have held after retirement, whereas the latter may have come back to power with fewer seats than before but still enjoyed the confidence of the people.
Several G-7 leaders appeared to be nearing the end of their lives and should not have attended the summit, based on his reasoning.

Calling Modi ‘ek tihai prime minister’ highlights the Congress’s ongoing struggle to recover from its third consecutive defeat by voters. According to Ramesh’s argument, Rahul should be the opposition’s leader. Let us not dwell on Jairam Ramesh’s frivolities.
The summit benefits the national cause by providing opportunities for leaders to build personal relationships, collaborate on global challenges, and address bilateral issues. Personal encounters can alleviate misunderstandings, tensions, and foster a positive relationship.

The quick and impromptu meeting between Modi and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has the potential to ease tensions between the two countries following the assassination of a Khalistan suspect in Canada.
The two countries exchanged heated remarks regarding the killing.
If the Modi-Trudeau meeting restores normalcy in the bilateral relationship, it will benefit both countries.
Previously, the Indian Prime Minister met briefly with US President Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. The discussion with the latter revealed that talks on the Indo-UK free trade treaty were progressing and expected to reach an agreement when the UK’s new administration was formed after the July 4 election.
The two leaders agreed to strengthen defence ties, with the French President promising assistance in increasing India’s domestic manufacturing of military hardware. Mutual collaboration occurred in various areas, including nuclear, communications, defence, and nuclear power. Ramesh’s thinking may have led him to believe that speaking with Macron was futile as he was also expected to lose the upcoming quick presidential election. But let us not take further notice of the childishness of the Congress media in command.

The Summit was conducted amid ongoing conflict in Ukraine and Gaza, which dominated the formal agenda. China has been warned for assisting Russia in producing military equipment for use against Ukraine.
China has been criticised for unfair trade practices, including subsidies to manufacturers for vehicle exports to EU countries. The US and EU are increasingly united against China’s hostile economic tactics. The G-7 leaders reaffirmed their commitment to assisting Ukraine in countering Russian aggression, which poses a significant danger to regional security and peace. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Modi to request assistance in preventing Russian aggression.

Despite India’s refusal to denounce Russia, Zelensky and other Western officials have approached him to halt the war. Modi declined Zelensky’s invitation to attend the peace meeting he is hosting in Switzerland. The summit addressed climate change and Iran’s nuclear weapons programme. Despite the mounting prospect of an environmental disaster, the large spoilers did not provide funding for mitigation measures. India had a strong interest in the subjects discussed at the Summit and needed to participate at the highest level, regardless of the Congress spokesperson’s frivolous remarks.
