Where Skill Flows Like the Narmada

Dr. Mohan Yadav’s Vision for Mahakaushal

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav defined Mahakaushal as the confluence of culture, learning, and enterprise, a region where skill flows endlessly like the Narmada. Addressing a grand ceremony at Mahakaushal Autonomous College in Jabalpur, he said that Mahakaushal, blessed by nature and nurtured by the spirit of Maa Narmada, symbolizes the state’s cultural depth and intellectual vibrancy.

Dr. Yadav reminded the audience that his government had held its first cabinet meeting in Jabalpur, setting the state’s developmental priorities from this very soil. “Our government has built Madhya Pradesh’s largest elevated corridor here, giving wings to Jabalpur’s trade and connectivity,” he said, as he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for four major development projects worth Rupees 28.33 crore.

Education as Empowerment

At the event, Dr. Yadav inaugurated the new four story building of the PM Excellence Government Mahakaushal Autonomous College, developed at a cost of Rupees 13.38 crore, featuring 19 smart classrooms, advanced laboratories, staff and common rooms, and facilities dedicated to differently abled students. Emphasizing eco friendly infrastructure and digital learning, the Chief Minister called for turning schools and colleges into “temples of knowledge,” where education leads not only to degrees but also to employability.

He urged academic institutions to provide skill oriented education that equips students for immediate employment and entrepreneurship. “Thousands of Madhya Pradesh’s youth have launched startups that are reshaping society and the economy,” he noted, citing the new wave of innovation under the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Mission and the Seekho Kamayo Yojana, which allow students to learn and earn directly through industry linkages.

Building a Self Reliant Generation

Dr. Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s growing startup ecosystem through innovation hubs, startup policies, funding support, and incubation networks, empowering youth to transform ideas into businesses. “If you have a vision for your own enterprise, bring your idea, and take the funding,” he told students, assuring full state support “from school fees to placement.”

The Chief Minister also announced the government’s major decisions for Mahakaushal’s tribal regions, including procurement of Kodo at Rupees 2500 per quintal and Kutki at Rupees 3500 per quintal, along with continued zero interest farm loans to strengthen small farmers. Remembering the region’s warriors Queen Durgavati, Rani Avantibai, and freedom fighters Subhas Chandra Bose and Bhagat Singh, he said their courage continues to inspire generations.

Honoring Merit and Service

During the event, Dr. Yadav honored 22 student toppers, 5 teachers, 13 social workers, 3 institutions, 5 women leaders, 6 sportspersons, and 5 youth social media influencers, urging them to see the awards not just as recognition but as responsibility. “This is not a reward, it is a call to serve the nation,” he said.

He underscored that India’s youth stand at the intersection of energy and technology, calling on them to acquire future ready skills in AI, machine learning, data analytics, and cloud computing. “Talent alone is not enough anymore; you must be tech friendly and AI enabled,” he advised.

A Warm Welcome in Jabalpur

Before the ceremony, Dr. Yadav was greeted with a grand floral welcome and participated in a spirited roadshow through Jabalpur’s main streets, where citizens showered him with garlands and flowers in an outpouring of affection. Accompanied by Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh and local legislators, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude to citizens for their trust, saying, “Mahakaushal represents the strength, skill, and soul of Madhya Pradesh, and from here, the future of a self reliant India begins to shine.”
