Empowering education through direct benefit transfer, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will on Thursday, October 30, electronically transfer scholarship funds exceeding Rupees 300 crore into the bank accounts of more than 52 lakh students under the Integrated Scholarship Scheme. The state level event will be held at Samatva Bhavan, the Chief Minister’s residence in Bhopal, in the presence of School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh and Tribal Welfare Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah.
The Chief Minister will address students and the public virtually, with the event broadcast live across all schools in every district. Students eligible under the scheme will participate at district and block level gatherings, also attended by local legislators and public representatives.
The Integrated Scholarship Scheme forms a vital part of the Samagra Social Security Mission, under which the School Education Department has been tasked with coordinating scholarship disbursements from six departments: School Education, Scheduled Caste Welfare, Tribal Welfare, Vimukt and Semi Nomadic Tribes Welfare, Backward and Minority Welfare, and Social Justice. A total of twenty scholarship categories are converged under this system, benefiting students from Classes 1 to 12 studying in both government and private institutions. Funds are sanctioned through the Education Portal 3.0, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and timely direct transfer into student accounts.
The Rupees 300 crore transfer will include seven major scholarships administered by the School Education Department, such as the General Poor Class Scholarship, Sudama Pre Matric Scholarship, Swami Vivekananda Post Matric Scholarship, Scholarship for Children of Retired Government Employees, Orphaned Daughters Scholarship, and the Single Girl Child Education Development Scholarship.
To ensure smooth execution, the Directorate of Public Instruction has issued detailed guidelines to district education officers and assistant commissioners of the Tribal Department. These instructions emphasize community participation and direct engagement with beneficiaries at local events, reinforcing the government’s commitment to strong, transparent social welfare delivery.
Dr. Yadav’s scholarship initiative embodies his philosophy that education is the most powerful investment in human potential. By integrating multiple welfare schemes into one unified digital structure, the state has ensured that every deserving student receives fair access to opportunity, promptly, directly, and without middlemen.
