On the 70th Foundation Day of Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav unveiled the Developed Madhya Pradesh @2047 Vision Document at Ravindra Bhavan, Bhopal, describing it as the cornerstone of a new and self reliant era of progress. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Viksit Bharat @2047 mission, the document envisions transforming Madhya Pradesh into a leading industrial, economic, and cultural hub over the next two decades.
Dr. Yadav said, “We are not only celebrating seven decades of achievements but also commencing the foundation of the next twenty five years of growth.” The Vision Document, developed through suggestions collected from every district and panchayat, reflects collective aspirations and lays out a people centered roadmap focusing on sustainability, innovation, and inclusivity. He emphasized that the document would play a pioneering role in realizing the national vision of a developed India.
The Chief Minister also announced the development of the Omkareshwar Sanctuary, covering parts of Khandwa and Dewas districts. Coinciding with the occasion was the signing of the Ujjain Airport development agreement, which will make it the state’s ninth airport, benefiting pilgrims and tourists. Sister initiatives launched included MP e Seva Portal, Invest MP 3.0 Portal, and Wash on Wheels mobile application. These digital platforms promise to make governance citizen friendly, transparent, and efficient, creating what Dr. Yadav called “an entire government on one screen.”
Highlighting the government’s employment goals, Dr. Yadav announced that in the next three years, two lakh government jobs will be created, while industry led investments worth more than Rupees 8 lakh crore are expected to generate six lakh private sector opportunities. He stated that over the past two years, 8.25 lakh people have already gained employment, and 60,000 government posts have been filled.
In agriculture, the state plans to expand irrigation through river linking projects and promote renewable energy by installing solar powered pumps for farmers. Wildlife based eco tourism, renewable energy investments, and new railway connections like the Indore Manmad line are being prioritized to strengthen trade, connectivity, and rural livelihoods.
Union Minister for Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu lauded Dr. Yadav’s vision, calling him “a symbol of people centric governance,” and said that Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a model of innovation and inclusive growth. NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Dr. Suman K. Bery described the state as “the heart of the country, not just geographically but also in biodiversity and natural wealth,” adding that the Vision Document aligns with India’s long term development goals.
Chief Secretary Anurag Jain explained that Developed Madhya Pradesh rests on three key pillars happiness, prosperity, and culture. The document places strong emphasis on Make in Madhya Pradesh, advanced farming technologies, AI driven growth cities, and a digital governance ecosystem that will make over 2,200 services accessible online. “Madhya Pradesh will become the first state where the entire government exists on a single screen,” he said.
With the launch of this ambitious vision, Madhya Pradesh enters its next transformative phase, rooted in heritage, driven by innovation, and guided by the collective will of its people.
