Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav hailed the visible impact of Madhya Pradesh’s rapid industrial growth over the past two years at the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos, where meetings with global industry leaders underscored the state’s investment friendly policies. Engaging international firms across sectors, Dr. Yadav positioned Madhya Pradesh as India’s renewable energy powerhouse and a burgeoning hub for IT, tourism, and agri business, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.
Dr. Yadav spotlighted the state’s transformation into the nation’s power hub, scaling pump storage, solar, and wind capacities, including Omkareshwar dam’s floating solar arrays and solar pumps for 32 lakh farmers, yielding the cheapest renewable electricity nationwide. This model draws global scrutiny, bolstered by ample land banks, surplus power, and central location advantages that magnetise investors. Unemployment nearing 1% reflects youth skilling and self employment drives, marking Madhya Pradesh as India’s youngest high velocity industrial state among top performers.
Bilateral ties beckon. Discussions with Maldives Minister and economist Dr. Mohammad Saeed explored synergies in fisheries, IT, health, and tourism, building on India Maldives leadership pacts. Dr. Yadav announced a forthcoming visit to forge mutual development partnerships, leveraging cultural affinities with local and Indian diaspora communities. Agri poultry prospects and MoUs signal expanded interstate trade.
These Davos engagements affirm Madhya Pradesh’s ascent from heartland to vanguard, where policy agility transmutes resources into prosperity. As India nears third global economic rank, the state’s blueprint exemplifies federal dynamism fuelling national primacy.
