Haridwar, June 28, 2026: Union Health and Family Welfare Minister J.P. Nadda and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday visited Shantikunj and met Shail Didi, the head of the Gayatri Parivar, in Haridwar.
During the meeting, the two leaders presented her with angavastra as a mark of respect and received her blessings. The interaction included discussions on spiritual values, social concerns and themes related to nation building.
The meeting highlighted the close connection between spiritual institutions and public life in Uttarakhand, where Shantikunj continues to play a prominent role in social and moral guidance. Leaders present on the occasion exchanged views on the contribution of such institutions in promoting harmony, service and constructive social engagement.
